About the Role
Working under the Manager, Public Health and Primary Health Care Services, this role is responsible for supporting the Flu and COVID immunization programs with back entry of vaccine data collected at locations throughout the province into the provincial Public Health data repository.
As part of the Public Health and Primary Health Care Services team, you will use data quality monitoring reports, investigate, and resolve data quality issues. You may be asked to assist with business services related to requirements, documentation, implementation, training and incident management and support. Additionally, you might be asked to participate in acceptance testing of new releases of program applications. You must have a passion for customer service and an aptitude for problem solving to understand their problem and be able to communicate that to others.
This is an full time permanent role that may require shifts including days, evening, and weekend shifts in order to serve Saskatchewan citizens. The successful candidate will be able to work independently with minimal direction and must demonstrate confidentiality, accuracy, flexibility, and initiative.
Typical Daily Duties:
- Back data entry of COVID and Influenza vaccine events
- Contacting customers to ensure veracity of data collected
- Contacting immunization providers (i.e.: Clinics, pharmacies) to verify information on immunization events provided
- Investigate data issues causing exceptions when data entering
- Communicate and troubleshoot with Public Health team at eHealth
- Provide reporting stats on information entered in the system
To qualify for this position, you will have knowledge and/or experience in the following:
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or Clinical discipline combined with information management/technology education and training. In addition, we are looking for 6 months working experience within a similar role. Experience using health system applications is extremely beneficial and a CHIM designation would be considered an asset.
