Job Summary
The Payroll & Compliance Executive will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring statutory compliance, maintaining employee records, and preparing monthly HR and payroll reports. The role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and good knowledge of labour laws and payroll systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Management
- Verify attendance, leave, incentives, deductions, and reimbursements.
- Preparation of Monthly Payroll Input by co-ordinating with different teams.
- Ensure accurate calculation of salary, tax, PF, ESI, PT, and other statutory deductions.
- Coordinate with payroll vendors.
- Handle full & final settlements.
- Maintenance of payroll records.
- Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS, and other applicable labour laws.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports within timelines.
- Maintain compliance registers and documentation.
- Coordinate during audits and provide required payroll/compliance data.
- Stay updated with amendments in labour laws.
- MIS & Monthly Reporting
- Prepare monthly payroll summary reports.
- Headcount and attrition reports.
- Leave balance and attendance reports.
- Compliance status reports.
- Provide HR analytics as required by management.
- Employee Support
- Address employee queries related to salary, tax, and deductions.
- Assist employees with Form 16, investment proofs, and tax declarations.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce / HR / Finance.
- Additional certification in Payroll or Labour Laws preferred.
Experience
- 4–5 years of experience in Payroll & Compliance.
- Experience in handling payroll software (Pay square/Keka/ADP etc)
- Good working knowledge of Indian labour laws.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliances.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information
