Role Overview:
The Auditor, AVP is responsible for leading complex audits of specific business/functional areas/regions, evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls related to risks, and acting as a coach for auditors and people managers. They develop professional relationships within and outside the bank, collaborate with various teams, and contribute to team plans supporting functional and business strategies. Additionally, they may lead ad-hoc projects, investigations, and represent the division in committees and forums.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex audits to assess internal controls and risks effectiveness
- Execute and lead operational audit work, including risk assessment and business monitoring
- Manage audit responsibilities and deliverables in line with group audit standards
- Plan and conduct audit fieldwork, identify key risks, test controls, and document work
- Draft audit reports, review action plans, facilitate finding tracking, and validate closure
- Partner with other teams during audits, communicate findings comprehensively
- Stay updated on industry practices, perform risk assessments, and prioritize audit delivery
- Develop professional relationships, manage own career development, and prioritize people management
- Act as a role model for new employees, highlight performance issues, and drive high performance
Qualification Required:
- Audit/business knowledge in areas like Investment Banking, Risk, Legal & Compliance, etc.
- Familiarity with global banking control environment and compliance issues
- Strong communication, relationship management, analytical, problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of auditing standards, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional qualifications like CA, CPA, CIA, and a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Fluent in English, with local languages proficiency if required
