Cloud Cyber Security Solutions Architect | Federal Contract | Long Term (Remote)

The Role

Reporting to senior Cyber Architecture leadership, you will be the go-to expert for cloud security design, risk assessment, and governance. You'll shape how cloud adoption is done securely — building standards, reference architectures, and reusable design patterns that protect critical infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Assess current and target-state cloud security architecture to support compliant, risk-based cloud migration
• Identify security risks, control gaps, and recommend practical, risk-proportionate mitigations
• Develop and maintain cloud security standards, policies, and architectural artifacts (reference architectures, design patterns, building blocks)
• Conduct threat modelling for cloud and migration initiatives
• Translate technical risk into business impact for leadership and governance forums
• Support secure configuration, compliance, and cloud governance
• Deliver knowledge transfer, workshops, and SME advisory to internal teams

What You Bring

• 5+ years in IT/cyber security including cloud environments
• 3+ years as a Cloud Security Architect or senior cloud security specialist in complex, regulated settings
• Hands-on experience with cloud security controls: IAM, network security, data protection, logging & monitoring
• Proven ability to define target-state cloud security architectures and close compliance gaps
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53/61/92, ISO/IEC 27001/27002
• University degree or college diploma in computer science, information security, engineering, or related field

Bonus Points For

• Azure and hybrid cloud security expertise
• Familiarity with CSA CCM, CIS Benchmarks, TOGAF, or SABSA
• Experience in financial services or other regulated sectors
• Certifications: CCSP, CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft/AWS security certs
