Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Provide emergency veterinary services and ongoing care for companion animals (including exotics)
- Diagnose and make therapeutic treatment recommendations on small companion animals
- Strict adherence to policies, procedures and protocols
- Provide support and training to trainees, veterinarians and veterinary nurses in all aspects of patient care
- Maintain accurate hospital patient records promptly
- Ensure accurate and complete estimations and billing of all cases during shift and adhere to relevant hospital policy
- Communicate directly with clients to ensure they are fully informed of prescribed treatments and costs
- Participate in the shifts as per the ROTA and the service requirements
- Manage workflow effectively within the department and ensure all necessary duties are completed in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with referring veterinarians, both within Cessna and outside practices
- Manage adverse incidents and complaints appropriately, resolve if possible and bring to the attention of the Veterinary Practice Coordinator or Hospital Operations Manager
Requirements
Selection Criteria:
Essential
1. BVSc & AH with minimum four years of clinical experience. Vets with small animal practice experience will be given more weightage
- Masters in clinical subject with minimum three years of experience (Medicine, Surgery, Reproduction)
- Ability to work rotational shift work, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays and be flexible in work hour patterns.
- Excellent organizational, time and workload management skills, including the ability to prioritize workload to meet strict deadlines.
- Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, and the demonstrated ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative, assume responsibility for tasks and projects and to resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to work cohesively in a team environment
Desirable
1. Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital or veterinary referral hospital
- Demonstrated computer skills and experience with computer systems used in veterinary practices, in particular VetBuddy/patient management software
- Experience in a busy, dynamic and time-sensitive environment

7,20,000-18,00,00 INR/- per annum as CTC (depends on qualification, skill set & job experience)
