Title: Senior Frontend Web DeveloperDuration: 12 month contract with potential to extendPay: $60-$71.50/hrLocation: Dearborn, MI - onsite 4x a week, remote 1x a weekJob SummaryOur client is seeking a highly skilled Frontend Web Developer to build modern, secure, and scalable web applications that empower customers to monitor, manage, and optimize their fleets. In this role, you'll join a full‑stack engineering team with a strong focus on front-end development—collaborating closely with software engineers, designers, and product managers to craft intuitive user experiences and deliver high-quality, data-driven products for Ford’s commercial vehicle customers. This is an opportunity to work within a design-thinking culture that values innovation, user-centered development, and continuous improvement across cutting-edge technologies, including autonomy, electrification, and smart mobility.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesProduct & RequirementsParticipate in defining requirements, features, user stories, and test cases.Support or lead discussions in stand-up meetings and Agile ceremonies.Create and maintain process documentation, technical design artifacts, and support materials.Design, Development & DeploymentDevelop new features and capabilities for connected vehicle web applications using React or other modern frameworks.Collaborate with full-stack engineers and designers to produce scalable, maintainable, and polished user interfaces.Support backend API integration and work with services built on Spring and cloud technologies.Write clean, testable, and reusable code following industry best practices.Use CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable deployments and development workflow efficiency.Operations & SupportParticipate in incident, change, and service request activities.Perform root cause analysis and help drive proactive defect prevention.Provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements to existing applications.Contribute to architectural improvements and modernization efforts.QualificationsEnglish proficiency (written and verbal).5+ years of experience in web development.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.Experience with CI/CD tools and automated pipelines.Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Karma.Experience with backend development using Java, Kotlin, or Spring Frameworks.Ability to follow and contribute to coding standards, design standards, and Agile practices.Preferred / Nice-to-HaveExperience working with Product Managers, DevOps teams, Big Data engineers, and UI/UX designers.Familiarity with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI (OAS) standards.Hands-on experience with tools like Jira or similar Agile platforms.Frontend development experience in production-scale applications.Cloud platform experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
