Role Overview:

In this role at Jacobs, you will be responsible for project delivery, design management, and project management, collaborating with various teams to create opportunities for planning, developing, delivering, and operating a range of projects. You will ensure the proper discharge of the company's responsibilities for plant construction and adherence to policies and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing project delivery, design management, and project management
  • Collaborating with commercial, project management, engineering, and design technical leaders
  • Ensuring staff recruitment, development, and departmental administration
  • Overseeing construction aspects of sub-contracts, planning, estimating, and safety at construction sites
  • Demonstrating strong commitment to quality management system, core values, and continual improvement
  • Interviewing candidates and making recommendations for recruitment
  • Assigning site staff for services group activities and determining training needs
  • Conducting staff assessments, appraisals, and recommending recruitment needs
  • Preparing manhour and cost estimates for proposals and liaising with the Proposals and Estimating groups
  • Authorizing and approving expenses as per company directives
  • Liaising with Legal Department and other departments on construction-related matters
  • Updating department and company procedures, methods, standards, and working instructions
  • Ensuring compliance with company's construction procedures and practices
  • Liaising with other groups for construction programs and planning inputs
  • Representing the company in construction industry associations
  • Establishing safety procedures and systems at project sites
  • Performing department administration functions
  • Attending management meetings on significant matters

Qualifications Required:

  • Graduate in Engineering in Mechanical or Civil
  • Experience of 18 to 25 years in a leading position, including working in PMC/EPCM role
  • Candidates from Consultancy background preferred, alternatively experience with large EPC
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with leadership abilities
