Job Overview:
Ensuring the correct accounting of inbound and outbound goods is a primary responsibility of the Logistics Specialist, who carries out various warehouse system activities to achieve this objective. The Clerk must also manage the flow of inbound and outbound goods to ensure optimal efficiency, while providing proper dock management and resource allocation. Additionally, the Clerk must maintain accurate records, logs, and reports and communicate effectively with warehouse management, other departments, and business partners.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Through the use of warehouse systems, companies can streamline the processing of inbound and outbound loads, including Stock Transport Orders, purchase orders, customer shipments, and deposit loads
- The smooth functioning of a warehouse depends on an organised system which is supported by comprehensive reports on inbound and outbound shipments, dock management, stock availability, and yard maintenance, with adjustments made as required
- Interfaces with warehouse management, various departments, and external stakeholders to promote efficiency, monitor the precision of inbound and outbound shipments, manage appointment timing, and allocate resources efficiently
- Develops and implements a system for managing and tracking hard copy documents, ensuring that they are always easily accessible when required
- To guarantee the security and cleanliness of the warehouse and work area, it is essential to complete additional tasks requested by management, including pallet construction
- Anticipate being given additional duties as needed

- Being knowledgeable about warehouse protocols and systems, and having basic computer competence including applications like Microsoft Office and SharePoint, is a must-have for individuals working in the field of logistics
