Hiring: Retainer Journalists (English & Hindi) Across India

We are looking to onboard passionate and driven Journalists, Digital Reporters, and Content Creators from multiple states across India on a retainer basis.

This role is ideal for individuals who can identify compelling stories, create engaging digital content, and contribute to modern, digital-first journalism.

Role Responsibilities

• Identify and pitch unique local stories, human-interest stories, and trending topics from your region and across India as well.
• Represent our platform in your location/area and identify compelling stories, events, people, businesses, social issues, and community developments that have the potential to create meaningful local and national impact.
• Track breaking news and emerging developments.
• Create short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
• Develop story concepts, content ideas, and editorial pitches.
• Write scripts, interview questionnaires, and story outlines.
• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts, public figures, and local communities.
• Perform on-ground reporting and event coverage when required.
• Monitor social media trends and convert them into engaging news and feature content.
• Coordinate with the editorial team to ensure timely content delivery.
• Maintain journalistic ethics, factual accuracy, and professional standards.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English and/or Hindi.
• Background in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or related fields preferred.
• Experience in reporting, digital journalism, content creation, or media production.
• Comfortable appearing on camera.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital content trends.
• Basic videography and mobile journalism (MoJo) skills.
• Ability to identify stories with high audience engagement potential.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
