Role Description The Junior Software Engineer will work on-site full time in Meerut, collaborating with senior engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain internal tools and platforms that support Blitz Capital Venture’s operations and portfolio companies. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code, implementing back-end services and APIs, debugging and resolving software issues, and participating in code reviews. The role also involves working with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, contributing to technical documentation, and assisting with deployment and integration tasks. The engineer will be encouraged to learn new technologies, follow best practices in software development, and continuously improve development processes.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles.
• Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript).
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP principles to design and implement modular, reusable code.
• Exposure to Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Ability to work on-site in Meerut, collaborate within a team, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) and basic software development lifecycle practices.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and contribute to a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.
