We're seeking a Junior Corporate Paralegal to join our dynamic team at AscellaHealth, where your expertise will directly contribute to improving health outcomes for patients with complex, chronic conditions and rare diseases. This role offers the opportunity to support the Legal team in high-level transactional work while ensuring compliance and driving operational excellence across the business, working alongside industry leaders in specialty pharmaceutical services. This role provides legal support across corporate transactions, contracts, regulatory filings, and compliance, allowing the Legal team to operate with speed, accuracy, and confidence.

This is a hybrid role based at our AscellHealth headquarters in Berwyn, PA that requires in-office work three (3) days per week.

About the role

Critical parts of the job/Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and review legal documents for corporate transactions.
  • Conduct research to ensure business compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Facilitate completion of commercial contracts and contract amendments; maintain accurate records in the company's contract management system.
  • Act as a liaison between in-house counsel and outside counsel when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and accounting of business transactions.
  • Perform legal research, writing, and analysis as assigned by counsel.
  • Assist with regulatory filings, company registrations, and licensing.
  • Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and proactively communicate updates to the team.
  • Represent AscellaHealth with professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and respect in all transactions.

What this position will focus on

Contract Lifecycle Ownership – Serve as the go-to resource for facilitating and tracking commercial contracts and amendments from initiation through execution, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely completion.

Regulatory Compliance & Legal Research – Proactively monitor evolving federal and state regulations, conduct thorough legal research, and assist with all regulatory filings and company registrations to keep AscellaHealth ahead of compliance requirements.

Legal Team Enablement – Bridge the gap between in-house and outside counsel, providing high-quality transactional support and accurate documentation that empowers the Legal team to make informed, confident decisions at speed.

Skills, Education & Abilities

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong critical thinking and research abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities accurately and efficiently
  • Strong commitment to professionalism, teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or related field (required)
  • 5+ years of experience with an in-house legal department or law firm
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate law, contracts, and commercial transactions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate
  • Background in the healthcare, specialty pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry
