We design and implement scalable data architectures that model how Anduril functions across the organization. You will develop high-performance data systems that serve as the digital twin of our operations, creating both the backend services and internal-facing applications that drive mission-critical decision-making. Designing schemas, optimizing performance, and writing the code that powers data-intensive applications. As a Senior Software Engineer, you should be a technical all-star who can take complicated or opaque asks and turn them into business value.<br><br><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Design and implement scalable database schemas and data models that serve Anduril's core operational needs</li> <li>Build performant data processing pipelines that transform raw data for dozens of use cases</li> <li>Architect end-to-end data solutions - from database design through service layers to integration points to frontend applications</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions</li> <li>Contribute to the technical roadmap for our data systems and help make critical architecture decisions</li> <li>Implement and enforce best practices for data integrity, security, and performance optimization</li> <li>Build domain expertise in areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, People, and Sustainment to better design data models</li> <li>Be a force multiplier for the Data &amp; Analytics team - embody our principle of Velocity.</li> <li>Palantir Foundry is our central hub for data driven applications, visualizations and large scale data analysis across the Anduril org. We manage a large user base and provide true data self service at scale.</li> <li>We use SQLMesh for data transformations, giving our engineers the ability to work with SQL while enjoying software engineering best practices like version control, testing, and CI/CD for data pipelines.</li> <li>For querying data, we utilize Athena, an aws serverless solution that allows our team to run analytics directly on our data lake without managing infrastructure.</li> <li>We've implemented Apache Iceberg as our table format, providing advanced data management capabilities like schema evolution and time travel queries.</li> <li>We use Flyte for orchestration. It is a highly scalable, kubernetes native modern orchestration platform similar to Airflow or Dagster.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h4><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></h4> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on data-intensive applications</li> <li>Strong experience in database design and optimization</li> <li>Proficiency in Python &amp; SQL</li> <li>Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems</li> <li>Understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices</li> <li>Experience implementing security controls for sensitive data</li> <li>Ability to drive technical projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams</li> <li>Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$166,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$220,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-contrast="auto">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
