About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Android Engineer to join our dynamic software studio located in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will be instrumental in leading the technical design, architecture, and development of innovative Android applications that enhance our customers' financial experiences.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure mobile solutions that align with our strategic goals. This position offers an excellent opportunity to influence the future of mobile banking technology, contribute to a collaborative environment, and mentor emerging talent within the team.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields, with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience developing native Android applications using Java or Kotlin. You should have extensive experience in application and data architecture, as well as proficiency with modern development tools and frameworks such as RxJava, Coroutines, Dagger, Espresso, Junit, and Jenkins.

Proven mentorship skills, along with the ability to guide both technical and business stakeholders, are essential. A bachelor’s, master’s, or diploma in a relevant discipline is required. Preferred candidates will have 8+ years of full-cycle software development experience and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, as well as agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design, architecture, and development of multi-platform, cross-functional application systems that serve our customers effectively.
• Collaborate with a dynamic mobile development team throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance.
• Enhance software engineering practices by working within agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement innovative technical solutions across a broad technology stack.
• Provide expert guidance on how emerging technologies impact the domain, ensuring our solutions remain cutting-edge and scalable.
• Mentor junior, intermediate, and senior mobile engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
