Job Title: Press Brake Machine Operator – Second Shift
Job Description
Join a growing manufacturing team as a Press Brake Machine Operator on the second shift, where you will set up, program, and operate press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and specifications. You will play a key role in producing high-quality electrification products for critical infrastructure while working in a brand-new facility with strong training, development, and advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Program the press brake and enter dimensional information into the machine software accurately.
- Adjust angles, flange lengths, and other parameters to ensure parts meet required dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machine settings, tooling, and material requirements.
- Perform in-process and final quality checks on finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and make necessary adjustments when required.
- Maintain press brake equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and requesting repairs when needed.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards while following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support efficient workflow, meet production schedules, and resolve issues promptly.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate records of materials used, parts produced, and any deviations or adjustments.
- Participate in training and development activities, including an initial training week and ongoing hands-on guidance from leads.
- Follow all workplace policies related to safety, quality, and operational standards on the manufacturing floor.
Essential Skills
- 1–3 years of experience operating a press brake machine, specifically in bending sheet metal.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with press brake programming and entering dimensional information into machine software.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic mechanical skills and understanding of press brake operations and fabrication processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English; ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds safely.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for precise machine operation and material handling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus and can support communication within a diverse team.
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, punch press, or other machine operation is beneficial.
- Familiarity with CNC press brake equipment and software.
- Background in manufacturing environments involving electrification products or critical infrastructure components.

Work Environment
This role is based in a brand-new manufacturing facility that will eventually support approximately 200–250 people on site. The position operates on a second shift schedule, Monday through Thursday from 6:30 pm to 5:30 am. You will work on a manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures, and you will spend most of the shift standing or walking. The role requires the ability to lift and move materials in the 25–50 pound range. Safety is a priority: steel-toed boots are required, and safety glasses are provided. Team members must wear long pants made of thicker material (not leggings) and either long sleeves or cut-resistant sleeves, which the company will help supply. The first week on the job is dedicated to full-time training before you are assigned to your production team, and you will work closely with leads in a hands-on, supportive environment that emphasizes safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
