Role Overview:

Advance Auto Parts is seeking an IT Recruiter to join the Talent Acquisition function in order to improve the overall talent in the organization. As an IT Recruiter, you will be responsible for executing staffing strategies, sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates consistently in partnership with HR Leaders and Hiring Managers. Your role will also involve consulting with Talent Acquisition Leadership to enhance recruiting and selection processes to attract, select, and retain a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement external recruiting/selection programs and processes to attract, select, and retain a qualified and diverse workforce using an automated applicant tracking system.
  • Oversee job postings and internal talent recruitment/placement processes.
  • Assist in developing on-boarding processes that support talent retention.
  • Manage the overall recruitment lifecycle including hiring intake, sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, compensation negotiation, and offer process.
  • Focus on attracting and hiring fresh talent (interns, graduates, entry-level roles) from colleges and universities.
  • Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, and use advanced sourcing techniques such as Boolean search and headhunting.
  • Maintain records in the ATS or internal trackers and track recruitment metrics like Time to fill, Offer-to-join ratio, and Feedback Surveys.
  • Ensure candidate and stakeholder engagement with timely updates throughout the process.
  • Utilize AI tools to scan resumes against job descriptions, search large talent pools, suggest passive candidates based on skills and behavior patterns, and coordinate interviews.
  • Focus on recruitment marketing by attracting, engaging, and nurturing potential candidates, promoting the employer value proposition, maintaining a consistent brand voice, and showcasing company culture through various platforms.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or related field (masters degree preferred).
  • 4-6 years of progressive human resources experience, with at least 3 years of corporate-level recruiting experience (retail experience preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and development/planning skills.
  • Experience working with ATS tools (Workday) & CRM tools (Phenom).
