Role Overview:

As a Branch Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead the assigned branch by effectively planning and managing resources to achieve agreed business targets through strategic sales strategies. Your role is crucial in helping the branch lead in market share and brand equity in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan sales strategies to achieve branch business targets including the number of agents, productivity, new premium, and persistency of business. This involves scanning the market for opportunities, competition, and effective product mix, as well as monitoring and implementing the plans for success.
  • Promote productivity of the field force through effective people management by ensuring regular training, discussing promotional infrastructure, and establishing good working habits for the team.
  • Ensure persistency of business by conducting random quality checks on sourced business and post-sales servicing to retain customers.
  • Inculcate a culture of financial discipline in the branch by maintaining strict control on cash transactions and budget for expenses.
  • Ensure 100% compliance to enhance productivity by monitoring process adherence and providing updates on guidelines and sales processes.
  • Drive sales promotional activities by initiating and implementing various activities, liaising with the head office teams, and delivering promotional efforts to customers.
  • Recommend product and process improvements to enhance efficiencies and customer satisfaction based on customer responses.
  • Ensure effective administration of the branch to sustain smooth functioning and operations in a cost-effective manner.
  • Manage the team through continuous on-the-job training, mentoring, coaching, and providing skill enhancement opportunities through training and job rotation.

Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales management and team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of financial services and insurance products.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, strategize, and manage resources.
