Schedule: 5x a week to start then hybrid 2-3 days

Pay: 40-50 hr

Our client, Seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting operations while supporting a company-wide transition from QuickBooks . This individual will take ownership of daily accounting activities, help drive process improvements, support the conversion from cash-basis to accrual-basis accounting, and play a key role in ensuring a successful ERP implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelors in a business related field
• QuickBooks Experience
• 5+ years Strong month End &,Financial Statement prep experience
• Experience managing AP, AR, billing, cash management, banking, reconciliations, and month-end close. Experience supporting accounting system implementations, ERP conversions, or large-scale accounting projects.
• The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting a range of accounting processes including accounts payables, general ledger, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, month end, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• manage full-cycle accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, cash management, and general ledger activities.
• Take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and serve as a hands-on resource for critical accounting processes.
• Generate and manage customer invoices, ensuring accurate and timely billing and collections.
• Oversee accounts payable processing, vendor payments, cash disbursements, and banking activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Provide interim accounting leadership and take control of AP, cash management, banking, reconciliations, and project-related accounting tasks.
• Assist in transitioning the organization from cash-basis accounting to accrual-basis accounting.
• Support the migration from QuickBooks , including process evaluation, testing, validation, and implementation support.
• Perform Excel-based analysis to validate Chart of Accounts (COA) mapping between systems.
• Assist with customer, vendor, employee, and transaction master file setup and mapping during the ERP conversion.
• Validate historical transaction data and ensure accurate migration into the new ERP platform.
• Coordinate accounting-related project tasks associated with the system implementation.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen accounting controls and procedures.
• Support external audits and provide accounting documentation as requested.
