About the Role
As a Lead Construction Project Manager, you will oversee complex electrical infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-level performance and operational excellence. You will serve as a strategic leader, driving project success through meticulous planning, financial oversight, and the mentorship of high-performing project teams.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, performance standards, and operational procedures to ensure consistent delivery across all field activities.
- Provide direct leadership and mentorship to project staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and technical proficiency.
- Manage the full financial lifecycle of contracts, including progress billing, forecasting, and expense control to maximize project profitability.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and engineers to maintain seamless communication and project alignment.
- Monitor construction progress alongside field superintendents to ensure strict adherence to schedules and budgetary constraints.
- Negotiate and oversee change orders, ensuring all modifications are documented and executed efficiently.
- Implement corrective measures for high-stakes project challenges, maintaining company standards and client satisfaction.
- Utilize tracking software and reporting tools to maintain accurate project logs and monthly cost analysis.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in project management, specifically within electrical construction.
- Deep expertise in electrical systems, construction methodologies, and safety protocols.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong financial acumen, including project forecasting and contract management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard project management software.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with Oracle and Accubid platforms.
