  • Write and develop approved stories for multi-platform use, ensuring accuracy and editorial quality;
  • Cover breaking news by evaluating leads, interviewing sources, and assessing relevance for target audiences;
  • Prepare scripts and story packages, including recommending visuals and collaborating with the team to finalize content.

Your accomplishments and experience include:

  • A degree/diploma in journalism or related field with proven experience related to journalism;
  • Knowledge of content management systems, Canadian Press News Style, writing headlines and copy editing (web team);
  • A strong ability to articulate and effectively communicate issues relevant to Indigenous communities;
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of broadcast technology.
