WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Web Developer with significant experience in developing on the wordpress platform for both back-end and front-end development, including creating website themes and plugins. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment, to join our dynamic team.
Beyond the code, we are specifically seeking a forward-thinking professional with a deep understanding of AI/O. Your role will be to ensure our business's digital assets are technically structured for discovery and citation by AI agents, helping us bridge the gap between clean code and human-centric search.
As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring the design, development, and optimization of our cloud-based technology solutions using Wordpress or other platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective web development and AI/O strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Manage all aspects of website development, including managing, building, and optimizing wordpress or other sites.
● Oversee website management and assist our team in technical aspects of AI/O to ensure effective marketing.
● Implement front-end development using wordpress or other sites, as well as HTML 5, CSS, and jQuery.
● Identify areas for website improvement and develop functionalities from start to finish.
● Ensure mobile optimization and responsive design, including touch screen optimization, Retina/High-DPI optimization, and small-screen optimized navigation.
● Integrate third-party web applications with wordpress or other sites.
● Work with cross-functional teams to ensure websites meet both user needs and business requirements.
● Build AI-ready architectures using advanced Schema markup and JSON-LD to ensure LLMs and search agents can accurately crawl, interpret, and credit the business's data.
● Execute technical AEO strategies through the structuring of site content for semantic search, ensuring the business is consistently cited as a trusted, authoritative source by AI-driven engines.
● Integrate conversational AI features like custom APIs and LLM-powered interfaces to create a more empathetic, supportive, and human-centric experience for all users.
● Optimise local performance and vitals to ensure every site remains fast, responsive, and reliable, providing a seamless digital experience tailored specifically for the Malaysian market.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● 2-4 years of experience with web development with a deep, practical understanding of how to structure sites for AI agents, including LLM-friendly architectures and semantic data.
● Proficiency in front-end development with HTML 5, CSS, and jQuery.
● Experience managing and building wordpress sites with a focus on AI/O outcomes.
● Knowledge of WordPress (plugin/theme development/API), PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
● Strong experience with mobile-responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
● Ability to analyse AI/O metrics and adjust technical strategies to improve brand visibility within AI-driven search results and answer engines.
● Strong command of CSS for web styling.
● Experience with Lovable, Shopify, and WordPress platforms with a specific focus on high-conversion AI/O outcomes and cross-platform compatibility.
● Familiarity with web development in various environments.
● Comprehensive experience with modern web tools and libraries, including jQuery, CSS Grids, and HTML5 Boilerplate, alongside the ability to seamlessly integrate third-party APIs and manage diverse development environments.
● In-depth knowledge of Schema.org markups, JSON-LD, and semantic HTML5 to ensure our content is seamlessly discovered, interpreted, and cited by Generative Engines.
