ETRM Business Analyst – Aligne (Energy Trading)

Location: Bangalore, India

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days per week in office)

Contract / Full-time project assignment

We are supporting a global energy trading technology program seeking an experienced ETRM Business Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in Aligne.

This role will support a critical trading platform used for Gas, Power, and Emissions trading across front office, risk, and settlement processes.

The selected consultant will work closely with trading, risk, and technology teams to manage reporting changes, system enhancements, and operational improvements within the Aligne platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Support reporting enhancements and functional improvements within the Aligne ETRM platform
• Analyze business requirements across credit, risk, settlement, and trading operations
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional specifications
• Support bug fixes, system improvements, and production issues
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver system enhancements
• Participate in Agile delivery cycles and support backlog management

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Aligne ETRM (minimum 3 years)
• Experience working with energy trading systems
• Understanding of Power and Gas trading deal lifecycle
• Experience supporting report development within Aligne
• Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments

Important: Experience with other ETRM platforms without Aligne exposure is not sufficient for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in IT or business analysis roles
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• CBAP or PMI-PBA certification
• Agile certifications or Lean training

Project Context

The role supports the Trade Reporting & Control Programme, where Aligne operates as the core Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) system managing Gas, Power, and Emissions trading activities across multiple business functions.

The platform supports trading operations across:

• Front Office
• Middle Office / Risk
• Credit and Settlements
• Back Office operations
