At the heart of Québec's mining industry, WSP Mining & Metals is seeking a Project Manager specializing in surface water management to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects. In this role, you will coordinate expert technical teams and ensure the successful delivery of projects that support site safety, climate resilience, and regulatory compliance-from concept through closure and restoration.
Your Impact
- Plan, execute, and control water management projects within mining environments.
- Manage scope, budgets, schedules, and project resources.
- Monitor progress and ensure the quality of technical deliverables.
- Identify and manage project delivery risks.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including hydrology, geotechnical, environmental, tailings, and infrastructure specialists.
- Serve as the primary client contact and contribute to business development efforts.
- Support hydrological studies, water balances, and dam breach analyses.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering, water resources engineering, or a related discipline.
- Registered Professional Engineer with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally within mining or heavy industry.
- Fluency in French; functional English required.
- Experience with hydrology and hydraulic modelling software (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GoldSim, PCSWMM, FLO-2D) is an asset.
- Knowledge of Québec and Canadian mining water management regulations is an asset.

Grade 7 - Tier 2 (Professional)
Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
