Yardi Support Specialist

Starlight Investments, in conjunction with WP Osborne Executive Search, is seeking a Yardi Support Specialist to join the Information Technology team.

Yardi Support Specialist

Reporting to the Director of Business Applications, the Yardi Support Specialist will be responsible for providing application support for Yardi modules and in-house-developed applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage, support and optimize business applications, including Yardi and Internal applications;
• Test and implement new Yardi modules;
• Train end users and develop easy-to-understand user training materials;
• Troubleshoot technical and data entry problems;
• Provide functional support for accounting processes within Yardi to internal team/external property management companies across Canada, the UK and the United States (via ticketing system, email and phone);
• Deliver ongoing support and enhancements for all aspects of Yardi for all properties;
• Develop custom Yardi workflows and menu sets;
• Identify needs and develop programmatic solutions for Yardi users;
• Create custom SQL reports, YSR correspondence, and reporting packages as needed for accounting, property management and asset management groups;
• Work with other 3rd party software and service providers to create automated data import/exports;
• Work with the Internal Software Development team to implement changes in internal applications;
• Configure and maintain system settings for properties.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience;
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working with Yardi;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases;
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• A self-directed support specialist who demonstrates high standards of work quality and is committed to continuous improvement;
• Highly motivated self-starter who works effectively in a team environment and can adapt personal working style to collaborate successfully with others;
• Understanding of property management is considered an asset.

Compensation

The compensation structure is comprised of a base salary that is market competitive and based on factors such as experience, education, designations, and skillset. It also includes a discretionary annual performance bonus tied to weighted performance targets and company performance, medical/dental benefits, healthcare spending accounts, tiered employer matching group retirement savings plan and parking/Presto allowance. Other benefits include maternity top-up, investment opportunities in the company’s funds, summer office hours, annual company-wide volunteer day and many more.
