Journeyman Automotive Technician

The Wood Automotive Group, one of Alberta's largest automobile retailers for over 40 years, is thrilled to announce that we are looking for Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our team at the Okotoks Volkswagen dealership in Okotoks, AB!

About the role

• The Journeyman Automotive Technician we are seeking will be a team player with a focus on efficiency, will a have strong quality of workmanship, good attention to detail, be a quick learner, and have the ability to adapt and assist in multiple tasks with a strong commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Complete vehicle inspections (out-of-province and safety inspections)
• Recommend repairs as required
• Warranty repairs as per Volkswagen specifications
• Diagnose problems using proper procedures
• Complete repairs as per estimates in a timely fashion
• Road test vehicle after repairs are complete to ensure repairs are done properly
• Maintain tools, equipment, and shop

Qualifications

• A strong background in repairing Volkswagen models, with specific experience in electrical diagnostics
• Journeyman Certificate
• A valid AB drivers license
• A clean and current drivers abstract
