Bartender / Mixologist

At Wollaston Lake Lodge, the Mixologist plays a key role in creating an elevated guest experience in a remote, luxury wilderness setting. You are responsible for preparing, mixing and serving a variety of classic and signature cocktails, as well as providing personalized, attentive service that reflects the lodge’s high hospitality standards.

Beyond crafting exceptional beverages, you will engage warmly with guests—greeting them by name, learning their preferences, offering recommendations and contributing to the relaxed yet refined lodge atmosphere. You will also support the Tackle Shop by assisting with sales, answering guest questions and keeping merchandise organized and well-presented. You will enter items into the point-of-sale system, restocking and supporting the dining room team as needed.

Success in this role requires strong bartending knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. A polished, professional appearance, excellent interpersonal skills and the flexibility to adapt to guest needs and daily lodge operations are essential in this dynamic and guest-focused environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Hospitality: 1 Year

· Bartending/ Mixology Experience: 1 Year (required)

· Bartending/ Mixology Course (required)

· Experience creating custom cocktails and drinks tailored to guest preferences

· Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and cocktail pairings with food

· Comfortable operating a point-of- sale (POS) system, including entering orders and handling transactions (required)

· Previous experience in a fast- paced or high-volume dining environment

· Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positively interact with guests

· Ability to work unsupervised and remain productive

· Hardworking and reliable

· Must be able to stand, move, stoop and bend for an entire 10-hour shift.

· Must be able to perform repetitive physical tasks using both arms and legs

· Must be willing to work in varying seasonal weather conditions

· Must be able to handle all physical aspects of the job, which include lifting/ moving heavy equipment (approximately 50 lbs)

· Must be authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis for any employer

SCHEDULE

· Ten week contract

· Monday to Sunday

· Holidays

· Weekends

· Two days off will be provided during the season when a relief staff member is contracted

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
