Remote Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Computer Vision

Key responsibilities include leading the end-to-end development lifecycle of computer vision models, from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment. You will research and implement state-of-the-art algorithms for tasks such as image classification, object detection, segmentation, and generative adversarial networks (GANs). The Senior ML Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to integrate ML solutions into product offerings. You will stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning, contributing to research papers and intellectual property. Mentoring junior engineers, driving best practices in ML development, and ensuring the scalability and robustness of deployed models are crucial. Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and libraries such as OpenCV and scikit-learn is essential. A strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for ML model training and deployment is highly desirable. The ability to analyze complex datasets, identify patterns, and translate business requirements into effective ML solutions is paramount. Qualifications

Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field with a specialization in Machine Learning or Computer Vision. 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, with a significant focus on computer vision. Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch. Experience with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV, Pillow, scikit-image). Strong understanding of algorithms for image classification, object detection, segmentation, etc. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for ML model training and deployment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote environment. Experience with MLOps practices is a plus.
