The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in a quantitative field, extensive experience in data analysis and predictive modeling, and a passion for making a tangible difference in patient care and operational efficiency.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead projects involving the extraction, transformation, and analysis of large, complex healthcare datasets. Your responsibilities will include developing and deploying machine learning models for tasks such as disease prediction, patient risk stratification, treatment effectiveness analysis, and healthcare resource optimization. You will work with various stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, and business leaders, to understand their needs and translate them into data science solutions. This role requires strong programming skills in Python or R, extensive experience with SQL, and a deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques. You will also be responsible for communicating your findings and insights effectively through compelling visualizations and clear, concise reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models to address healthcare challenges. Analyze large and complex healthcare datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and insights. Develop predictive models for patient outcomes, disease progression, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with domain experts to define project scope, requirements, and success metrics. Clean, process, and transform raw data into usable formats for analysis. Evaluate and validate model performance, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Communicate complex findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences through presentations and reports. Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and healthcare analytics. Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's knowledge base. Contribute to the development of data infrastructure and best practices. Qualifications:

Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data science, with a significant focus on healthcare analytics or related domains. Proven expertise in machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning) and statistical modeling. Strong programming skills in Python or R, including relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas). Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus. Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment. This fully remote role allows you to contribute to significant advancements in healthcare analytics from anywhere.
