As a Remote Logistics Coordinator, your role is crucial for ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and personnel, all managed from a remote work setup. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fleet operations, including scheduling, routing, maintenance coordination, and driver management. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate daily delivery schedules and routes for the company's fleet.
- Monitor fleet performance using GPS tracking and telematics systems.
- Manage driver schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with working hours.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair schedules with service providers.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with safety regulations and licensing requirements.
- Process delivery documentation, including manifests and proof of delivery.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve logistical issues.
- Optimize routes for fuel efficiency and timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, mileage, and expenses.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in logistics.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for fleet management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination or fleet management.
- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS tracking software.
- Strong understanding of Indian transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage remote teams effectively.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to make quick decisions.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a remote setting.
