Description
Staples High School is searching for a School Counselor to join a talented team of educators meeting the needs of all students. The qualified candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of School Counselors and related service staff as well as the entire school community in meeting the needs of all students.
Qualifications
- Appropriate Connecticut Certification Required (068); and
- Ability to counsel students to foster their academic and personal development; experience with DBT preferred; and
- Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, school administrators, and parents to support the needs of all students; and
- Understanding of college admissions and ability to assist students through the post-high school planning process; and
- Previous high school counseling experience preferred.
Salary: According to the Teachers' contract (2025-2028)
