5 LPA) Min Experience: 3 years Location: Rajkot JobType: full-time We are looking for a detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to manage and enhance the quality of machine parts sourced from vendors.
This role focuses on ensuring that all supplied components meet defined technical specifications, quality standards, and performance requirements.
Based in Rajkot, the position involves close collaboration with suppliers, internal production teams, and quality functions to drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and product reliability.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in machining processes and a solid understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and inspection methods.
Key Responsibilities Evaluate and develop suppliers to ensure consistent quality of machine parts Conduct supplier audits and assess manufacturing capabilities and process controls Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements with vendors Manage incoming quality inspections and handle non-conformance issues Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Collaborate with suppliers to improve processes and reduce defects Monitor supplier performance using metrics such as defect rates and on-time delivery Maintain quality documentation including inspection reports and audit records Support new product development through supplier readiness and first article inspection (FAI) Work closely with procurement, production, and engineering teams for quality alignment Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality What Makes You a Great Fit 3+ years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing, preferably in machining environments Strong understanding of machining processes such as CNC turning, milling, and grinding Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances Hands-on experience with quality tools such as RCA, 8D, FMEA, and control plans Familiarity with inspection instruments like calipers, micrometers, and CMM Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or similar frameworks Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Effective communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and cross-functional teams Proactive approach to identifying risks and driving continuous improvement
