We are looking for a heavy-hitting, highly experienced Structures Shop Supervisor (AME-S) who knows the difference between a textbook repair and real-world floor execution.

This isn't a desk job. You will be the technical backbone and floor leader of our structural repair department. You’ll bridge the gap between upper management and a team of technicians and apprentices, driving a progressive, fast-paced hangar environment where precision sheet metal work, advanced composites, and uncompromising safety connect. What You’ll Own (Responsibilities)

• Hangar Flow & WIP Management: Own the floor. Set daily priorities, manage manpower, and review Work-in-Progress (WIP) to validate hours, map timelines, and keep projects tracking on budget without cutting corners.
• Airworthiness & Quality Control: Serve as the final gatekeeper for quality. Perform in-progress inspections and ensure all sheet metal fabrication, skin patches, doublers, and composite layups flawlessly adhere to TCCA regulations, SRMs, and engineering data.
• Apprentice Logbook Mentorship: Lead by example. Conduct OJT (On-the-Job Training), track apprentice logbooks, and systematically build their skill sets to confidently pass their TCCA AME CARs licensing exams.
• Technical Go-To Expert: Act as the shop’s subject matter expert to troubleshoot complex structural issues, major mods, and advanced composite challenges. Grab your tools and assist with the heavy lifting alongside the crew when required.
• Scope Changes & Cross-Department Logistics: Identify secondary structural or corrosion damage exposed during teardowns. Clearly communicate scope changes to the Operations Manager and the customer. Coordinate with Stores and Planning to ensure hardware, raw materials, and components are ordered and tracked.
• Shop Morale & Asset Control: Enforce tool control, FOD prevention, and keep an immaculate, organized facility. More importantly, build a supportive floor culture rooted in trust, strong communication, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Deep Technical Tenure: 10+ years of extensive, hands-on experience in Aircraft Structural Repair, with proven mastery in both aerospace sheet metal and advanced composite disciplines.
• License Preference: An active Transport Canada AME-S License is highly preferred.
• Battle-Tested Leadership: Proven track record running an aviation structure shop, MRO floor, or manufacturing line. You know how to motivate a crew and manage variable shifts.
• AOG Composure: The ability to keep a cool head, make decisive technical calls, and deliver complex modifications safely under tight turnaround constraints.
• Material & Tool Mastery: Deep familiarity with pneumatic tools, specialized riveting equipment, vacuum bagging/curing processes, and high-tolerance measuring instruments.
