Job Description

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for planning computerized databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data, and formulating policies and procedures related to database management. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Hands-on experience in EBS R12.2 administration, maintenance, cloning & patching.
  • Installation, configuration, and upgrading/patching of Oracle server software and related products.
  • Establishing and maintaining backup and recovery policies and procedures.
  • Implementing and maintaining database security by creating and maintaining users and roles, and assigning privileges.
  • Providing 24x7 support as part of a team when required.
  • Performing general technical troubleshooting and offering consultation to development teams.
  • Monitoring database performance using OEM and custom scripts.
  • Additional skills in OBIEE, WebLogic, SQL server, SOA, Agile, Hyperion, etc. are advantageous.
  • Creating, configuring, backup, and restoring a WebLogic Server domain, cluster, and authentication provider.
  • Ensuring installations meet standards and technical specifications.
  • Planning, installing, building, managing, supporting, configuring, securing, and testing Weblogic infrastructure components and connectivity.
  • Providing troubleshooting and technical support services for web infrastructure.
  • Assisting in disaster recovery failover testing.
  • Performing 24x7 on-call duties on a rotational basis with other Weblogic administrators.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance, patching, and security compliance.
  • Understanding and adhering to existing change management processes.

Additionally, the company values expertise in Oracle technologies, including interfacing with Oracle Corporation for technical support, patch management, and version control.

Qualifications required for this role include hands-on experience with EBS R12.2 administration, Oracle server software installation and configuration, database security implementation, and troubleshooting. Additional skills in OBIEE, WebLogic, SQL server, SOA, Agile, Hyperion, etc. are considered beneficial. Experience in managing WebLogic infrastructure components and disaster recovery testing is also desired. An understanding of change management processes is essential for this position.
