You Are
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead strategic data platform initiatives that enable scalable, secure, and high-performing data platform capabilities across the group.
The Opportunity
- Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise data platform programs, from strategy through execution and operationalization
- Partner with data engineering, architecture, analytics, IT, security, and business stakeholders to define scope, roadmap, milestones, and success metrics
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies
- Manage interdependencies across multiple projects and teams
- Drive alignment between business objectives and technical delivery
- Facilitate executive steering committees and provide clear, concise program updates for some projects, while others will have their own project managers
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements (especially relevant to biosciences environments)
- Identify and manage program risks, issues, and change controls
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in program or project management
- Demonstrated experience leading data platform, data engineering, data transformation initiatives
- Experience managing cross-functional technical teams
- Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the biosciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry
- Familiarity with GxP, data integrity, and regulatory compliance requirements
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar certification
- Experience with modern data platforms
- Experience supporting AI/ML or advanced analytics initiatives
- Strong understanding of data architecture concepts (data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, APIs, cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience working in regulated environments preferred

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Ontario
Compensation Range: $115,000-$144,000
Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
Part-time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
All Canadian employees who work in a province, territory or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
