Unison commenced operations in 2003 and today invests in real estate and infrastructure hosting wireless and renewables tenants in the United States and Europe. THE COMPANY:
Unison acquires real estate assets in the United States and Europe in the telecommunications and renewable energy sectors. Backed by a global investment firm with over $125B in assets under management, Unison is growing rapidly across its existing business lines while expanding into new markets. The role is based in Italy, supporting operations across European markets.
THE TEAM:
The Assistant General Counsel – Telecoms and Renewables (EU), based in Italy, will play a key role in:
Managing the acquisition of telecom infrastructure assets such as cell towers across EU markets, leading transactions in multiple countries and supporting expansion into new jurisdictions.
Expanding Unison’s renewable energy business in Europe by working with landowners and developers.
This is a hands-on role requiring an experienced lawyer with a strong track record in driving transactions to closing, supporting complex negotiations, and managing portfolio risk. You will work closely with senior management, origination, pricing, and property management teams. Over time, the role is expected to evolve into a specialization in renewables.
THE ROLE:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Telecommunications
Support the Regional General Counsel – Europe
Report internally in coordination with the EU GC
Manage transactions end-to-end with internal and external counsel
Liaise with brokers and site owners
Coordinate closings with advisors (lawyers, notaries, banks, fund managers)
Perform legal and property due diligence (leases, title review)
Track and manage deals using internal systems
Support expansion into new jurisdictions
Provide basic property tax guidance
Prepare pre-close and closing documentation and finance reviews
Train origination teams on real estate matters
Draft contracts and notarial documents
Oversee full closing execution
Manage payment processes at closing
Lead regular legal coordination meetings
Renewable Energy
Manage a pipeline of lease acquisitions and coordinate cross-functional closing efforts
Oversee work of in-house legal teams and prepare underwriting analysis
Structure and support negotiations with renewable developers (sale-leaseback, land financing)
Support development of new ground lease products
Assist with market entry (entity setup, compliance, KYC, structuring)
Advise on commercial and corporate legal matters
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or renewable energy environment
Strong experience in renewable energy and real estate transactions
Proficient in Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Salesforce

Si tratta di un ruolo operativo che richiede un avvocato con esperienza nella gestione e chiusura di transazioni complesse, nelle negoziazioni e nella valutazione e gestione del rischio di portafoglio. Lavorerà a stretto contatto con il senior management e con i team di origination, pricing e property management. Nel tempo, è prevista una specializzazione nel settore delle rinnovabili.
IL RUOLO:
Le responsabilità includono, tra le altre:
Telecomunicazioni
Supportare il Regional General Counsel – Europe
Collaborare con l’EU GC per la reportistica interna
Gestire le operazioni end-to-end con legali interni ed esterni
Interagire con broker e proprietari dei siti
Coordinare i closing con consulenti (avvocati, notai, banche, fund manager)
Svolgere due diligence legale e immobiliare (contratti, titolarità)
Monitorare e gestire le operazioni tramite sistemi interni
Supportare l’espansione in nuove giurisdizioni
Fornire consulenza base sulla fiscalità immobiliare
Preparare documentazione pre-closing e closing e revisioni finanziarie
Formare i team di origination su tematiche immobiliari
Redigere contratti e atti notarili
Supervisionare l’intero processo di closing
Gestire i pagamenti al momento del closing
Coordinare meeting legali periodici
Energie Rinnovabili
Gestire un pipeline di acquisizioni di diritti di superficie/locazione e coordinare il closing tra i team
Supervisionare il lavoro dei legali interni e preparare analisi per il management
Strutturare e supportare negoziazioni con sviluppatori (sale-leaseback, finanziamento terreni)
Supportare lo sviluppo di nuovi prodotti basati su ground lease
Supportare l’ingresso in nuovi mercati (costituzione società, compliance, KYC, strutturazione)
Fornire consulenza su tematiche commerciali e societarie
REQUISITI:
Oltre 10 anni di esperienza come avvocato in studio legale e/o nel settore energie rinnovabili
Forte esperienza in real estate e rinnovabili
Ottima conoscenza di Office 365, Teams, SharePoint e Salesforce
