Job Description: Job Accountabilities – What You'll Do We are looking for a full stack developer that designs, develops, and maintains complex, scalable, and secure full stack solutions aligned to business and technology objectives. Provides technical leadership across backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on quality, performance, and operational excellence. Delivers end-to-end system solutions through analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support of applications and services. Contributes to architectural decisions, continuous improvement, and adoption of modern engineering practices. Product is Customer facing Chat widget which allow users to connect with Live agents, LLM KMS, and NLU bots. Knowledge building AI Chatbots is an asset. Design, develop, and enhance full stack solutions using Java-based backend services, Angular frontend applications, and Python where applicable, hosted on Azure infrastructure Lead development of new features and complex enhancements, performing unit, integration, and component testing aligned to architecture and security standards Own and deliver backend and frontend solutions across the full development lifecycle, from design through production support Support business inquiries through execution of enhancements, defect fixes, and performance optimizations Perform and lead peer code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to engineering standards Develops program specifications; codes, tests, debugs, and maintains high-quality software solutions Collaborate with technology partners to ensure configuration, integrations, and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals Analyze business and technical requirements to propose pragmatic, scalable, and secure engineering solutions; contribute to estimation and planning activities Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions meet technical direction, performance, time-to-market, and innovation objectives Monitor product lifecycles and drive refactoring or re-architecture efforts where required Document system components, APIs, integrations, infrastructure, security, and operational designs Participate in design, architecture, and quality reviews to ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements Ensure high-quality, defect-free code and provide support during testing cycles and post-production deployment Provide technical expertise during incident management, including root cause analysis, impact assessment, and resolution coordination Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, and observability Assist in identifying and recommending tools, frameworks, and practices to improve development, testing, and operational efficiency Adhere to enterprise engineering frameworks, methodologies, and governance standards Ensure solutions comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and security standards Collaborate with stakeholders to proactively prevent defects and improve system stability Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives within the engineering practice Conduct meaningful technical analysis and provide recommendations to improve solution effectiveness and efficiency Identify opportunities to optimize costs and enhance stakeholder and customer experience Lead code reviews, operational readiness reviews, and support gating and design sign-offs Monitor service performance and productivity, implementing improvements where appropriate Proactively identify risks, escalate issues, and contribute to remediation plans Stay informed of emerging technology trends and assess potential business and technical impacts Promote a strong culture of risk management, quality, and operational excellence Participate fully as a senior member of the team, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers Share best practices and contribute to knowledge transfer within the team and broader organization Stay current on emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends relevant to full stack and cloud development Actively participate in performance management, personal development, and cross-training initiatives Communicate clearly on project status, risks, and dependencies Proactively identify and resolve technical and delivery issues Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Support diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace Act as a brand ambassador for the organization and engineering function Where You'll Work You’ll be expected to work Primarily onsite at a TD location for meetings, team events and experiences. Job Requirements – What You Need to Succeed Undergraduate degree, Postgraduate degree, or Technical Certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Strong academic and technical foundation 5–8+ years of relevant experience in full stack software development, including backend, frontend, and cloud-based solutions Advanced knowledge of full stack development, cloud-native architectures, and modern engineering practices Strong expertise in Java backend development, Angular frontend frameworks, Azure cloud services, and supporting tooling Working knowledge of Python, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability/monitoring tools (e.g., knowledge of Dynatrace is a strong asset) Ability to perform complex technical tasks and contributes to solution design and architecture Sound judgment to solve complex problems while aligning with established standards and practices Who We Are: TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
