Job Description
Introduction
The Jim Pattison Auto Group is seeking an energetic, reliable, and organized Service Attendant to be the pillar of support for our Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore dealership. As a supporting role for our Service department, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that our vehicles are well presented to our customers.
You’ll take pride in delivering an excellent experience, being detail oriented, and ensuring every interaction reflects our strong commitment to our customers. This is a great role to start your career in the automotive industry, with limitless opportunities for growth and progression.
Schedule: This is a full-time, permanent position of 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts scheduled Monday to Saturday on a rotating shift basis. Schedules may vary and require flexibility.
Pay Range: $18.25 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience
This role reports to the Parts and Service Manager of the dealership.

A Day in the Life
- Maintain and monitor the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of our customer vehicles, including exterior washing and interior cleaning
- Maneuver, arrange, and relocate guest vehicles with care
- Ensure any potential issues with vehicles or the dealership property are promptly reported
- Safe use of tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies
- Ensure a high degree of confidentiality with company and customer information
- Participate in maintaining a supportive and engaging working environment
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- A valid BC Driver’s license is required, including a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract report
- Previous experience in the automotive industry is considered a strong asset
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions is preferred
- Strong customer-service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- This is a physically active role and requires the following:
- Frequent walking throughout the dealership building and lot
- Walking and/or standing for long periods
- Frequent operation of automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Washing vehicles, which may include use of various cleaning products and frequent bending, crouching, and reaching
- Significant time spent outdoors in various weather, including sun, rain, wind, snow, cold, and heat. Weather conditions are monitored for safety as needed
