Role Overview
The Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving go-to-market strategies, strengthening channel effectiveness, and ensuring seamless execution of trade marketing initiatives across regions. This role will work closely with Sales, Brand, Supply Chain, and Finance to maximize in-store visibility, channel productivity, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute trade marketing strategies aligned with overall business and sales objectives.
- Lead channel strategy across General Trade, Modern Trade, E-commerce, and other relevant channels.
- Drive launch excellence for new products/projects including GTM planning, trade schemes, and visibility execution.
- Own trade promotions, schemes, and incentives, ensuring ROI optimization and budget adherence.
- Develop and track channel-wise KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Sales to improve distribution, assortment, pricing, and visibility at the point of sale.
- Manage trade marketing budgets, forecasts, and commercial planning.
- Lead negotiations and partnerships with key distributors, retailers, and channel partners.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing trade marketing team.
- Drive market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, and consumer insights to refine strategies.
Key Requirements
- 2–6 years of experience in Trade Marketing / Channel Marketing / Commercial Excellence.
- Strong exposure to multi-channel trade marketing and large-scale GTM execution.
- MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute.
- Proven experience in budget management, ROI tracking, and analytics-driven decision making.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of sales operations, distributor economics, and retail execution.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using dashboards and analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in scaling businesses or handling high-growth environments is a plus.
