Plant Manager - Manufacturing Operations

We’re looking for a Plant Manager to lead a high-volume manufacturing facility in Calgary.

Our client operates in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where quality, precision, and on-time delivery are critical. Every product leaving the facility reflects the company’s reputation, making this role essential to maintaining high standards while driving operational efficiency.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced plant leader who has successfully managed end-to-end manufacturing operations and is looking to take full ownership of a facility, lead an established team, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day plant operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ensure all production meets quality standards, specifications, and delivery timelines
• Oversee purchasing and materials planning, including forecasting and inventory management
• Ensure accuracy and quality of all incoming materials through proper inspection processes
• Manage and develop a cross-functional team, including production staff and customer service representatives
• Drive accountability, performance, and engagement across the plant
• Balance production priorities with customer demands and business needs
• Participate in and contribute to production meetings, providing insights and solutions
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Maintain strong communication between production, sales, and customer service teams
• Ensure safe, organized, and efficient plant operations

The Successful Candidate Has

• 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including proven experience as a Plant Manager
• Strong background in fast-paced, high-volume production environments
• Experience managing purchasing, inventory, and production planning
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data tracking, forecasting, and reporting
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
• Strong understanding of quality control and operational processes
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and make decisions under pressure
• Experience working with established teams and navigating different personalities
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to delegate effectively
• Experience working with or improving operational systems or processes is an asset
