Job Description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Shipping & Logistics Coordinator / Forklift Operator for one of our clients in Mississauga, ON. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating daily shipping and receiving operations, operating a forklift safely, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. This role requires you to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment that requires frequent communication via computer, email, and phone.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift equipment safely and complete daily forklift inspection reports prior to use
  • Coordinate all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring clear communication with internal teams and external parties
  • Review daily ship schedules, vendor lists, outstanding orders, and warehouse hardware lists
  • Monitor email and systems for special requests (rush orders, couriers, WFH orders, special parts)
  • Process work-from-home orders, including printing paperwork, staging products, and coordinating customer pickups
  • Participate in daily startup meetings to review upcoming shipments and order statuses
  • Answer and return calls using a company-provided mobile phone and oversee customer pickups
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality; report discrepancies to Purchasing or Customer Service
  • Prepare skids and package out-of-town orders, documenting packaging condition with photos
  • Consolidate skids to optimize trailer space and minimize shipping costs
  • Provide shipping quotes to Sales, including skid weights, dimensions, and quantities
  • Stage installer orders one day prior to pickup and ensure delivery documentation is signed
  • Verify all outbound orders are complete, properly documented, and signed off at pickup
  • Deliver internal mail and parcels to appropriate recipients
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and safe storage of all equipment and tools
  • Foster teamwork, support department goals, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure all products meet defined quality standards prior to shipment

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Raymond Reach Forklift License (required)
  • 3–4 years of experience in shipping coordination or logistics
  • Experience with cross-border shipments and documentation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple shipments simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using computers, email, and basic warehouse systems
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
