Job Description
Technology Service Corporation (TSC) is seeking a Senior Aerospace Test Engineer to support work at the Naval Research Laboratory. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact high-priority Navy missions.
The Senior Aerospace Test Engineer will lead advanced aerospace experimentation efforts. They will be responsible for the definition and oversight of ground and flight aerodynamics experimentation including subscale wind tunnel testing, high-enthalpy tunnel testing, full-scale vehicle wind tunnel testing, and captive-carry sounding rocket experimentation. Further, the engineer will aid in defining objectives, mission requirements, vehicle configurations, instrumentation, and data acquisition requirements for ground and flight testing. The successful candidate will aid in defining objectives, mission requirements, vehicle configurations, instrumentation, and data acquisition requirements for full-scale flight demonstrations. Direct experience in supersonic and hypersonic flight and ground experimentation is required.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant aerospace experimentation
- Direct experience in supersonic and hypersonic flight and ground experimentation
- Direct experience with relevant test facilities such as wind tunnels
- Direct experience with complex aerospace test campaigns including test definition, setup, and execution.
- Comprehensive expertise in aerospace test instrumentation and data acquisition
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
In compliance with applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position is $153,000 – $218,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus and may include equity or incentive compensation as part of the total rewards package.
