Mandatory skills:

• Database Object Design
• JCL utilities and Db2 utilities
• IBM Db2 suite (admin tool, log analyzer, QM, SDSF and ISPF)
• IIDR replication, Encryption key rotation and Conversion (UTS/RPN)
• Troubleshoot and RCA

Must Have:

• Design, implement and customize database objects according to business needs.
• Good knowledge of IIDR replication process.
• Monitor and manage production/test databases across multiple LPARs
• Good understanding of IBM DB2 utilities
• Analyze SQL access paths and identify under-performing SQL queries
• DB2 plan/package maintenance in all regions
• Design efficient indexes to influence Optimizer’s choice of access path
• Analyze bind errors and assist developers in troubleshooting database issues
• Version migration activities and RSU checkouts
• Good experience in UTS conversion, Encryption key rotation and RPN conversion activities.
• Mainframe environment management and legacy database decommissioning.
• Need to have hands-on experience working on Admin tool Omegamon, QMF , SDSF, ISPF panel, Platinum tool and Log analyzer tools.
• Good troubleshooting skills to support business critical applications in Production.
• Need to have hands on experience to work on batch job scheduling and execution using CA7
• Service Now (Ticketing tool) experience in Incident management, request management and Change management

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and customize database objects according to business needs.
• Good experience in UTS conversion, Encryption key rotation and RPN conversion activities.
• Run Pre and Post checkouts for validation of LPARs.
• Analyze the batch job failure and provide root cause analysis
• Need good hands-on experience on Db2 tools and utilities.
