Core Responsibilities

ELK Stack Leadership & Engineering

• Design & Architecture: Design, architect, and implement scalable ELK solutions (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats) on AWS, including managing Elastic Cloud Enterprise.
• Data Ingestion & Pipeline: Configure Logstash pipelines, Filebeats, and Elastic Agents to parse, transform, and enrich data (JSON, Grok, Mutate).
• Optimization & Performance: Fine-tune Elasticsearch performance (indexing, sharding, replicas) for high-volume data.
• Visualization: Create advanced Kibana dashboards for real-time monitoring and analytics.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve complex issues regarding log ingestion, storage, search, and cluster management.

AWS Infrastructure & DevOps

• Cloud Management: Deploy and manage ELK on AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for automating ELK infrastructure provisioning.
• CI/CD: Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline for ELK component deployments.
• Security: Implement security measures (SSL certificates, Role-Based Access Controls) in cloud environments.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring team members on ELK best practices.
• Create design documentation (HLD, LLD) and contribute to team architectural discussions.
• Identify strategic solutions and provide risk assessments.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 6-12+ years in IT, with at least 3-5 years specifically in the ELK stack.
• ELK Stack Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats (installation, configuration, management).
• AWS Cloud: Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS).
• Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, or Ansible for automation.
• Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
