We are hiring for the role of US Payroll specialist with a fastest growing accounting and professional services firms in the US. The role is based in Hyderabad or Gurgaon.

Shift timings: 2 PM - 11 PM (Both side Cab available)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compliance-driven US Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing for US employees from India. The role requires strong knowledge of US payroll regulations, tax compliance, payroll systems, and reconciliation processes to ensure timely and accurate payroll execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process end-to-end US payroll ( biweekly / semi-monthly / monthly) for multi-state employees
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and benefits.
• Validate and process federal, state, and local tax withholdings in compliance with US regulations.
• Manage payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and adjustments.
• Perform payroll reconciliation (gross-to-net, tax, benefit, and bank reconciliation).
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, Benefits, and Compliance teams to resolve payroll queries
• Support year-end activities including W-2 processing, tax filings, and audits.
• Ensure adherence to US statutory requirements including FLSA, IRS regulations, and state labor laws.
• Maintain payroll documentation, confidentiality, and audit readiness.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within payroll operations.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Experience in US payroll processing from India (Shared Services / BPO / MNC setup).
• Strong knowledge of US payroll taxation (Federal, State, Local).
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as UKG / ADP / Workday / etc.
• Experience handling multi-state payroll.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of year-end processing (W-2, 1099).
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in US shift
