Our client, an established Canadian real estate platform, is looking to bring on a commercially driven real estate asset management professional to support asset performance, portfolio strategy, and long-term value creation.

This opportunity is built for someone who thrives at the intersection of asset strategy, financial analysis, portfolio performance, and cross-functional execution. Working closely with senior stakeholders and internal teams, you will support investment decisions, business planning, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations across a high-quality portfolio focused on complex commercial asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Strategy: Support asset-level and portfolio-level strategy across a commercial real estate portfolio.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare financial analysis, performance summaries, and decision-support materials for senior stakeholders.
• Performance Reviews: Monitor asset performance, cash flow, budgets, commercial leasing activity, market trends, capital needs, and opportunities to improve asset outcomes.
• Planning & Reporting: Support business planning, forecasting, portfolio reporting, and valuation-related analysis.
• Investment Evaluation: Evaluate retail and office leasing structures, capital improvement programs, operating performance, and asset strategy decisions through a financial and commercial lens.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across leasing, finance, operations, construction, legal, and property management to support asset-level execution.
• Strategic Initiatives: Assist with initiatives related to capital allocation, financing, transaction analysis, portfolio strategy, and operational improvement.
• Stakeholder Presentations: Prepare presentations, investment summaries, reporting packages, and recommendation materials.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, analytical tools, coordination, and decision-making processes.
• Relationship Management: Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, service providers, and partners.

What You Bring

• Commercial Real Estate Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience with high-quality, income-producing assets, with a primary focus on office, retail, industrial, or complex mixed-use commercial environments.
• Advanced Analytical Capabilities: Strong financial fluency with experience in cash flow analysis, DCF modelling, IRR, NPV, return analysis, and asset-level performance review.
• Asset Management Foundation: Experience supporting asset strategy, business planning, portfolio reporting, commercial leasing analysis, capital planning, budgeting, valuations, or investment decision-making.
• Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of commercial lease structures, NOI mechanics, expense recoveries, and commercial valuation drivers.
• Systems Fluency: Hands-on experience with advanced Excel and Argus Enterprise. Experience with property management or financial reporting systems such as Yardi is considered an asset.
• Cross-Functional Approach: Experience working with leasing, finance, legal, construction, operations, property management, consultants, and external stakeholders.
• Educational & Professional Foundation: Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, real estate, business, or a related discipline. CFA, CPA, MBA, AACI, or another real estate or finance-related designation is considered an asset.
