Job Description
We’re supporting our client, a Toronto-based real estate investment and asset management platform, in their search for a Senior Manager, Asset Management who can support financial analysis, portfolio reporting, business planning, and asset performance across a commercial real estate portfolio.
In this role, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to evaluate property performance, support strategic decision-making, prepare financial analysis, and help identify opportunities to improve asset outcomes. This is a strong fit for someone who brings commercial real estate asset management experience, strong financial modelling skills, and the ability to translate analysis into clear, practical recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Support financial planning, asset performance reviews, and ongoing portfolio analysis
- Prepare financial analysis, performance summaries, and decision-support materials for commercial real estate assets
- Analyze leasing activity, market conditions, property performance, capital needs, and opportunities to improve asset outcomes
- Work with internal teams and external partners to support asset-level decisions and execution
- Review operating performance, cash flow, budgets, capital plans, and variance reporting
- Support quarterly and annual reporting, including presentations, investment summaries, and senior stakeholder materials
- Evaluate portfolio initiatives related to leasing activity, capital investment, tenant retention, operating performance, and long-term asset value
- Support transaction-related analysis and special projects where required
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure analysis and reporting are accurate, timely, and useful
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analysis, coordination, and decision-making processes
Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive commercial real estate experience, within asset management, investment management, valuations, portfolio management, or real estate finance
- Experience with office, mixed-use, retail, industrial, or institutional-quality income-producing real estate assets
- Strong financial modelling skills, including cash flow analysis, DCF modelling, IRR, NPV, and return analysis
- Hands-on experience with Argus Enterprise and advanced Excel
- Strong understanding of leasing activity, operating budgets, capital planning, NOI, cash flow, and asset value drivers
- Experience preparing business plans, valuation materials, investment summaries, lender materials, investor updates, or senior leadership presentations
- CPA, CFA, AACI, MBA, or a real estate-related designation is considered an asset
