About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sr Zone Loss Prevention Manager – Northeast to join the Tailored Brands Loss Prevention team. The Zone Loss Prevention Manager serves as the primary field-based Loss Prevention partner for an assigned zone, responsible for leading investigations, supporting crisis response, identifying and addressing loss trends, and strengthening operational execution across the zone. This role plays a critical part in protecting company assets, supporting people safety, and reinforcing compliance with company policy and established procedures.
This position reports to the Sr Manager, Loss Prevention Field Operations. The Zone Loss Prevention Manager – Northeast is a field-based position open to candidates located in a major metropolitan area within the Northeast U.S., such as Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, or Boston. This role requires regular travel, including overnight travel, throughout the assigned zone to conduct investigations, support stores, respond to incidents, complete audits, deliver training, and attend meetings at the corporate office or other company locations as needed.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
Investigations & Case Management
- Lead complex investigations involving internal theft, external theft, fraud, policy violations, and operational loss.
- Utilize exception-based reporting, CCTV, transactional data, interviews, and other available tools to identify risk, develop case strategy, and build complete investigative files.
- Conduct interviews following the Wicklander-Zulawski method, accordance with company protocol and applicable laws.
- Partner with Human Resources and Field Leadership to ensure investigative findings are well-documented and support consistent, appropriate resolution.
- Maintain timely case progression, accurate documentation, and clear communication throughout the investigative process.
Field Partnership & Zone Support
- Serve as the primary Loss Prevention point of contact for an assigned zone, providing guidance, partnership, and responsive support to store and field leaders.
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders to drive awareness of shrink, fraud, safety, and compliance opportunities within the business.
- Identify market and store-level trends, translate findings into actionable recommendations, and communicate risk areas to Loss Prevention and field leadership.
- Support the development and execution of shortage reduction strategies and targeted action plans based on identified opportunities.
Audits, Training & Operational Excellence
- Conduct store visits, audits, and assessments to evaluate compliance with Loss Prevention and safety standards, identify gaps, and drive corrective action.
- Provide field-based coaching and hands-on training to store leaders and associates on Loss Prevention programs, policies, procedures, and awareness initiatives.
- Reinforce consistent execution of company controls related to cash handling, inventory protection, physical security, safety, and other operational risk areas.
- Support rollout and sustainment of company Loss Prevention initiatives, programs, and process improvements across the zone.
Crisis Response & Incident Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for significant field incidents and crisis events within the assigned zone.
- Provide real-time support and guidance during incidents involving safety, security, theft events, workplace violence concerns, emergencies, or other escalated situations.
- Ensure timely escalation and communication to internal stakeholders, including Loss Prevention leadership, Human Resources, Operations, and other partners as appropriate.
- Support follow-up actions, documentation, and after-action assessments related to major incidents.
Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Participate in recurring business calls and provide updates on investigations, trends, incident activity, and market conditions.
- Partner effectively with Human Resources, Store Operations, Supply Chain, Physical Security, and other internal teams to support broader business objectives.
- Maintain professional relationships with external partners, including law enforcement, when appropriate and in alignment with company protocol.
- Represent the Loss Prevention function as a credible, solutions-oriented business partner across the field organization.
What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Loss Prevention or investigations within a multi-location retail environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Criminal Justice or Business. A Loss Prevention Certification (LPC) from the Loss Prevention Foundation may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Requires demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights
- Proven experience conducting interviews and working sensitive investigations involving internal and external parties. Wicklander-Zulawski training preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with associates at all levels.
- High integrity, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); familiar with exception-based reporting systems and CCTV/video analytics preferred.
- Must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong follow-through.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
- Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a remote office location in a Northeastern metropolitan area.
- Ability to travel within the Northeast and to our corporate office in Houston, Texas.

The starting salary for this position is $80,000 – $95,000 and may increase to $168,210 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
