Compensation
$62,300 - $116,800
Purpose:
The Supply Chain Mgr (SCM), Inbound Logistics, is responsible for managing and implementing supplier published freight programs and developing CMU supply chain solutions across CABL.
The SCM will own the repository and execution of this data, while promoting additional opportunities to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) via LEI and CPU% growth.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain Sysco Canada's supplier freight program repository via FRDT (Freight Rate Database Tool)
- Execute freight and allowances updates via CFM (Centralized Freight Mgmt) to all Canadian Broadline sites.
- Manage the True FOB supplier Sysco Fuel Surcharge program
- Conduct cyclical suppler freight reviews to ensure current and market relevant program data
- Formulate the quarterly intercompany freight rate program used nationally across broadline and subsidiaries
- Create and maintain Sysco/Supplier collaborative freight programs
- Develop inbound logistics soluitions for customer proprietary inventory & steer the onboarding process for freight mgmt
- Quote anticipated freight expense(s) based upon Sales provided estimates of future inbound case movement
Process Improvement:
- Identify and assist with the implementation of new logistics conversions to achieve continuous improvement initiatives around LEI and CPU growth
- Incorporate new logistics opportunities into existing CPU managed lanes for increased overall optimization and improved KPIs
- Identify supplier opportunities to shift inbound shipping mode for improved service and profitability
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze supplier published freight programs for Sysco equity
- Interpret potential opportunities from reporting generated by other departments / sources
- Datamine and create business consumable reporting from multiple sources to promote and implement new supplier opportunities
- Generate ad-hoc reports on demand to conduct presentations, visuals, and provide financial updates as needed
Collaboration:
- Cross-functional engagement with Procurement, Sourcing, Category Mgmt, and Sales to develop new and/or improve existing supplier program opportunities
- Formal logistics guidance on cross-departmental initiatives and rollouts\
Skills
- Logistics Expertise - In-depth knowledge of transportation and logistics principles, including freight routing, revenue mgmt, cost analysis, and pricing models
- Data Analysis - Proficiency in attaining actionable intelligence from multiple sources
- Experience with IDS ERP, Manhattan TMS, & Cognos preferred
- Intermediate+ Excel abilities to extract and devise concise and actionable guidance from large datasets
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to engage with multiple leadership teams
- Anticipatory mindset for the comprehensive needs of the greater logistics team
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline or 5+ years of relevant logistics experience in lieu of a degree
