Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware & Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network and hardware systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems, cloud services, virtualization technologies, and scripting languages. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in supporting our infrastructure and driving technological innovation across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure including VPNs, firewalls, switches, and routers to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware components such as servers, storage devices, and networking equipment.
- Manage virtualization environments using VMware and optimize cloud-based solutions on AWS and Azure platforms.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, Python, or Java to streamline operations and improve system efficiency.
- Administer operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Oracle databases to support enterprise applications.
- Implement DevOps practices to facilitate continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Monitor system performance, conduct security assessments, and apply patches or updates to maintain system integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan infrastructure upgrades and migrations in cloud environments like AWS and Azure.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience working with VMware virtualization platforms and managing cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Linux, Unix shells, Bash scripting, and Shell Scripting.
- Hands-on experience with network security protocols including VPNs and firewalls.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, and Oracle database management.
- Experience implementing DevOps methodologies for automation and deployment processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and network issues efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
