Plant Manager for Food Industry

Key Responsibilities

A Plant Manager's responsibilities are diverse and dynamic. They include supervising all aspects of the plant operations, from production and procurement to quality control and maintenance. Key duties involve:

• Developing and executing plant policies and procedures that align with the company’s goals.
• Ensuring all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Directing and managing plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving.
• Coordinating plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Implementing cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
• Managing capital asset maintenance.
• Establishing and monitoring overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
• Managing and leading staff, including recruitment, development, and retention.

Key Tasks and Duties

In addition to their broad managerial responsibilities, Plant Managers in the Manufacturing industry are specifically tasked with:

• Monitoring and evaluating workflow and assembly methods and making process improvements.
• Overseeing employee safety training and factory compliance with all safety regulations.
• Conducting performance reviews, motivating staff, and providing feedback.
• Facilitating communications between different departments including resolving conflicts and fostering cooperation.
• Reviewing the performance of subordinates and identifying coaching and training needs.

Overall, the Plant Manager must possess strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of plant operations, excellent communication abilities, and strategic thinking capabilities. These qualifications enable them to operate efficiently in the Manufacturing industry, ensuring that plant operations contribute positively to the larger goals of their organization

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Experience

• Food or Pharma: 1 year (Preferred)
• Food technologist: 1 year (Preferred)
• Plant management: 1 year (Preferred)
