Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Atlassian Cloud Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in the USA. Our client is a technology company specializing in delivering solutions for vehicle-related processes, particularly in vehicle titling, registration, and compliance in the automotive industry.

They provide a comprehensive digital platform streamlining these processes for dealerships, insurance companies, and government agencies. It includes electronic vehicle transactions, simplifying the process for dealerships and government agencies. Their APIs enable businesses to incorporate the client’s technology into their applications. The company operates throughout the United States.

About the role: You will own the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of the Atlassian Cloud environment. You will be a key partner to engineering, operations, and business teams, helping them work smarter through well-designed workflows, automations, and governance best practices. It is a hands-on role with high visibility.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience administering the Atlassian Cloud suite in a professional environment, primarily Jira Service Management, Jira, and Confluence.
  • In-depth understanding of Jira Service Management, including ITIL-aligned service design, workflow architecture, permission schemes, automations, request types, and data structures.
  • Strong knowledge of Atlassian Guard: SSO configuration, SCIM provisioning, and organizational security controls.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of JQL for querying, reporting, and dashboard creation.
  • Solid understanding of RBAC principles and how to implement least-privilege Access at scale.
  • Experience supporting change management and release management workflows.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Jira Product Discovery.
  • Experience with ScriptRunner (Groovy scripting for Jira/Confluence automation).
  • Experience with Bitbucket.
  • Atlassian certifications (ACP, ACE, or equivalent).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary administrator and main point of contact for the Atlassian Cloud suite (including Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence), while collaborating closely with the existing Jira Administration Group for shared technical support and cross-functional strategy.
  • Design, configure, and maintain JSM projects, including request types, workflows, permissions, automations, SLAs, and data structures aligned with ITIL best practices.
  • Manage Atlassian Guard (formerly Access) for SSO, user provisioning, SCIM, and organization-level security policies.
  • Build and maintain complex JQL queries to support reporting, dashboards, and cross-team visibility.
  • Partner with teams and individuals on day-to-day administration, customizing workflows, permissions, and automations to meet evolving business needs.
  • Enforce RBAC and ensure proper permission schemes across projects and spaces.
  • Support change management and release management processes within the Atlassian ecosystem.
  • Apply Atlassian Cloud best practices to maintain a scalable, secure, and well-governed environment.
  • Document configurations, standards, and processes in Confluence.
  • Evaluate and implement new Atlassian features, apps, and integrations as needed.
